A Hero Walks Among Us
There is a man in Newton MA that stands a little taller than the rest of us. He walks with a strength of purpose and gleam in his eye.
Yesterday, he achieved what many of us have dreamed of but a very few have ever realized. He has walked a path littered with the the bodies of the unworthy and has triumphed. Did you hear them? The voices of the townspeople raised in songs of praise?
What is that you say? Who is this folk hero and what did he do?
His name is Bob and he returned 991 empties to the liquor store and received $49.55 in return.
He is Bob and he is my friend.
