So I had a dream the other night that Sting was going to put on a show at my Mom's house. His entire band was made up of deformed children who's instruments were designed around their deformities.

Does this mean I'm broken in some deep and disturbing way?

I do?

So I was in line at Starbuck's this morning and the baristas were taking longer than usual getting peoples drinks made. The women in line ahead of me made some random comment about unusual slowness of things, to which I eagerly agreed. I mean what the hell was going on up there anyway? So we finally get up to the registers, she places her order, pays the turns to walk off to go collect her drink. She then pauses, looks at me and says "You have such sad eyes" and walks off. I said "............."

I mean what do say to that? Seriously..........

Those who understand the Tao delight, like cats, in just sitting and watching without any goal or result in mind. But when a cat gets tired of sitting, it gets up and goes for a walk or hunts mice. It does not punish itself or compete in an endurance test as to how long it can remain immovable - unless there is some real reason for being still, such as catching a bird.

Yesterday, he achieved what many of us have dreamed of but a very few have ever realized. He has walked a path littered with the the bodies of the unworthy and has triumphed. Did you hear them? The voices of the townspeople raised in songs of praise?
